Therapies

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy works well for recognising a person's negative core beliefs and faulty thinking styles and behaviours. With structured, goal oriented work, we can adapt these to more healthier versions.

Mindfulness

It can sometimes be difficult for a person to be content in their own minds, therefore the practice of Mindfulness may appear challenging to them at first. Even small amounts of not engaging in thoughts, and being in the present moment, can be helpful.

Mindfulness is effective for overcoming overthinking. It can help us to be more present, with an attitude of kindness towards ourselves and others. It is in contrast with more habitual states of mind which can be preoccupied with memories, stresses, worries or planning.

Person Centred

Person-centred therapy focuses on an individual's self worth and values. Being valued as a person, without being judged, can help an individual to accept who they are, and reconnect with themselves.

About Counselling

Counselling offers you a safe place that is empathic and non judgemental to help with the stresses of life and to achieve personal growth.

Counselling can enable you to explore a deeper self awareness which will improve all of your relationships. It can help you to realise, then change, negative patterns and cycles that you are stuck in. This can often lead you to choose new ways of living to achieve a better balance in your life.
